Routledge on call

Wayne Routledge was the star as Steve Kember's team recorded Crystal Palace's first league victory since the end of August, beating Cardiff 2-1 at Selhurst Park.

Routledge wasn't even in the Crystal Palace side an hour before the game, until Andy Johnson dashed away as he was about to become a father.

In came Routledge to score one and make Neil Shipperley's winner.

"So I can be pleased for both players," said manager Kember. "We were more like the team who started the season so well."
