David Moyes was satisfied with Manchester United's 3-0 victory at Villa Park though he accepts more improvements need to be made.

The 50-year-old admitted his side started slowly as they sought a first Premier League victory since beating Arsenal on November 10, but was pleased with the manner in which they grew into the game.

"A very good job done. The players played well. My only criticism would be that we didn't score more goals," the Scot said.

"I thought Antonio Valencia was very good. Adnan (Januzaj) is still training but will be a talent in the future.

"We were a bit sloppy in the first 15 minutes but after that played well.

"Danny Welbeck was good today. He was a threat and it would have been nice for him to get a hat-trick. Tom (Cleverley) has been playing OK and today scored.

"We know we have to play better, it has to be continually improved. I will make sure it will get better in the coming months."

The result was a frustrating one for Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert.

"To lose a goal when we did was a blow. The second goal was our fault and we should have done better," Lambert said.

"They definitely took the wind out of our sails, the two goals by half-time. We knew the next goal would be vital and we lost that, but we never gave up."
