Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker was forced off in the first game of the 2019-20 Premier League season after suffering a leg injury against Norwich City at Anfield.

The Brazilian pulled up while taking a goal-kick and was could not continue despite on-field treatment from the club's medical staff.

However, Jurgen Klopp will have been buoyed by the sight of his first choice between the sticks leaving the pitch without the need for a stretcher.

Alisson's early injury offered an unexpected debut to recently signed back-up goalkeeper Adrian San Miguel, who may now be in line for a prolonged run in the team.

The games are set to come thick and fast for the Reds after their league opener, with a UEFA Super Cup fixture against Chelsea awaiting next Wednesday.
