Liverpool came from behind to deny Chelsea a win at Anfield after Christian Benteke scored in added time to cancel out Eden Hazard's stunning first-half goal.
After a strong start from the home side, Chelsea took the lead in unlikely fashion when Hazard latched onto Abdul Baba Rahman's pass to dribble past several Reds players and send a superb low strike past Simon Mignolet and into the bottom of the net in the 32nd minute.
The goal signified Chelsea's increasing dominance in the game and the Blues went on to end the first half in better form than they had started it.
Bertrand Traore had a chance to make it 2-0, but the striker - starting in place of the injured Diego Costa - drove his effort just wide with Mignolet out of his goal.
Chelsea appeared after the break in confident mood, and had further chances to double their advantage - only for Mignolet to keep Liverpool in the game with several superb stops.
The Reds continued to press, and were rewarded when substitute Sheyi Ojo sent the ball into the area only for Asmir Begovic to fail to clear the danger allowing another substitute Christian Benteke to head in to end the game 1-1.
