Arsenal’s Champions League hopes are still in the balance - but one team from north London has already qualified for a semi-final in Europe.

Non-League Enfield Town on Tuesday night reached the last four of the Fenix Trophy, a UEFA-sanctioned competition for semi-professional and amateur clubs.

The Isthmian Premier Division team drew 1-1 at Welsh side Llantwit Major to seal top spot in their group and book a place in the last four.

The semi-finals and final will be played at a stadium on Lake Garda in Italy in May.

The Fenix Trophy is a 12-team tournament that recognises community focus and social purpose. Enfield, who compete in the seventh tier of English football, have been invited because of their history as they were the first-ever fan-owned club in English football.

This is the third edition of the Fenix Trophy. FC United of Manchester won the inaugural competition in 2021 and last season the final was staged at the San Siro in Milan.
