Nottingham Forest have enquired about the availability of Watford forward Andre Gray and Crystal Palace's Connor Wickham.

The Championship club are looking to bring in a striker this month and had been one of those in the hunt to sign Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah.

They have now made contact with Watford over Gray - who is also on Leeds United’s radar - to see if a deal can be done.

The 28-year-old has struggled for regular playing opportunities this season, scoring two goals, and there is a chance he could leave on loan.

Gray’s team-mate Isaac Success is another who could leave due to a lack of minutes, but Forest have not expressed an interest in the Nigerian.

The club have, however, also checked in with Palace over a possible deal for Wickham. The 26-year-old has played just four Premier League games this season and is keen to get more time on the pitch.

Wickham is already attracting interest from Sheffield Wednesday and a loan move to the Championship looks likely.
