Crystal Palace scored a club record five Premier League goals in one game to thrash sorry Newcastle and climb to seventh in the table in the standout performance from the capital this weekend.

Alan Pardew's side fell behind but picked themselves up to launch a five-star comeback and dominate our London Team of the Week, compiled in association with WhoScored.com.

James McArthur sparked the response, converting Connor Wickham's pass after good hold-up play from the former Sunderland man. McArthur also rounded off the win with an angled finish in stoppage time, but not before a double from star man Yannick Bolasie and a fluffed volley from Wilfried Zaha had put the game beyond the travelling Toon Army.

Defensive pair Joel Ward and Damien Delaney, who headed a deep free-kick back across goal for Bolasie's second, also make the cut.

Elsewhere, Asmir Begovic impressed as Chelsea continued their recovery with a respectable point at White Hart Lane. The 28-year-old was the busier of the goalkeepers in north London, making four saves as Spurs were denied the chance to leapfrog bitter rivals Arsenal.

The London derby's star man Mousa Dembele was in energetic form as he broke up Chelsea play and carried the ball forward with regularity. But the visitors could have snatched victory were it not for Jan Vertonghen's impressive marshalling of a tricky forward four, who showed something of their intricate, passing best in nort London.

At Carrow Road, Mesut Ozil fired the Gunners in front with a delicate finish and combined well with Alexis Sanchez before the Chile international was forced from the field with injury. But the trip to Norwich served up a sequence of blows for Arsene Wenger as Laurent Koscielny and Santi Cazorla also suffered injury and the Gunners missed the chance to draw level with the league-leaders.

1/7

A stunning free-kick from West Ham's Mauro Zarate was enough to fire him into the London XI, while he played his part in halting a physical West Brom side as they went in search of an unlikely victory at Upton Park.

Meanwhile, Chelsea loan star Nathan Ake is the solitary Watford man after making an impressive nine interceptions as the Hornets plunged Aston Villa further into the mire with victory in the Midlands.
