Uefa have ended disciplinary proceedings against Chelsea following an investigation into anti-Semitic chanting during a Europa League game.

The alleged incidents occurred during December's Europa League group stage fixture against MOL Vidi in Hungary.

The behaviour of a section of the travelling fans was condemned by the club in the immediate aftermath, with a spokesman at the time describing the chanting - partly directed towards Tottenham fans - as "abhorrent" and "shamed the club".

A brief statement from Uefa reads: The CEDB [control, ethics and disciplinary body] has decided to close the disciplinary proceedings against Chelsea FC."

The events came just five days after Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling with the subject of alleged racist abuse by Chelsea fans, which saw the London club suspend four supporters.

Chelsea host Dynamo Kiev in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash on Thursday, March 7, with the second leg taking place the following week.
