AS Monaco head coach Thierry Henry has spoken of his interest in signing Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas.

Standard Sport understands Fabregas has agreed personal terms over a two-and-a-half year contract, which included a signing bonus worth in excess of £9m.

However the two clubs are yet to agree a fee with Chelsea holding out for £10million for a player out of contract at the end of the season.

Fabregas was emotional when waving goodbye to Chelsea supporters after what appeared to be his final game for the club against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, footage Henry saw.

"You saw like me, there was a standing ovation, tears," he told reporters at a press conference on Monday.

"Since I left Arsenal we talk every two or three days. It hasn't changed in the last few days. He's a player that interests all clubs."

Henry played alongside Fabregas at Arsenal but had left Barcelona for New York Red Bulls before the midfielder returned to Camp Nou in 2011.
