Chelsea are still keeping an eye on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's situation at Arsenal with a view to a summer move.

Standard Sport confirmed last Saturday that he was a player on Antonio Conte's wish list, although they are aware he could still sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has just one year remaining on his current deal and been linked with a number of clubs, including Stoke.

Chelsea want to make up to four more transfers before the window shuts next month and they are believed to be closing in on two or three of them.

Juventus left wing-back Alex Sandro is one of the main priorities, but Chelsea have made it clear to the Serie A club they are not going to be held to ransom and will not lodge another bid.

It is believed that Chelsea's last offer was worth up to £61million, but Juventus then asked for in excess of £65m

The Old Lady have already sold Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan and are reluctant to lose another key member of their defence.

Juventus have offered Sandro an improved contract worth £84,000-a-week. That is still much less than what Chelsea are prepared to pay, which is in excess of £100,000-a-week.

Significantly, Sandro has yet to agree to Juventus' offer and Chelsea still think there is a possibility the 26-year-old could come to Stamford Bridge.
