Jose Mourinho declined to comment on Adrian Mutu's controversial comments about the Chelsea boss in which he said the 52-year-old was "fake" and was "finished" at the club.

Mutu, who endured a headline-grabbing short spell at Chelsea during Mourinho's first stint at the club, claimed on Wednesday that the Chelsea manager did not care for the feelings of his players and sought to upset the biggest personality in the dressing room "for fun".

"He has been a great coach in the past, but as a person, he is fake," Mutu told MirrorFootball.

"He only looks after himself, and has no consideration for how his players are feeling and thinking. You could not go and talk to him.

"As a coach, he is finished. There is no way back for him. How do you come back from something like this [current form]?"
