ECB push back England cricket team central contracts announcement

The new round of England cricket team central contracts are expected to be announced on Thursday.

The England and Wales Cricket Board had originally scheduled to reveal the list of players on new contracts for the next 12 months On Wednesday. But the announcement has been put back to avoid clashing with the Professional Cricketers’ Association dinner in London on Wednesday night and Tuesday's Cricket Writers’ lunch.

There has been conjecture over contracts for Ben Stokes and Alex Hales after the pair were ruled out of England selection for the foreseeable future pending investigations into an altercation in Bristol following the one-day international against West Indies.
