Peter Andre has opened up about one downside of being a new parent - lack of sleep.

The Mysterious Girl singer, 51, welcomed a baby girl with wife Emily MacDonagh earlier this month.

Two weeks on, aside from still being unable to decide on a name for the new arrival, the sleep deprivation has firmly set in.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, the Australian star posted a video which showed him walking out of his house whilst wearing a black dressing gown and a pair of slippers.

A caption on the clip read: "When you've had your first decent sleep since baby's been born."

The video included a voiceover, believed to be from the 1988 comedy film Coming to America, with one person saying: "Good morning my neighbours."

Another voice states: "Eh, f*** you!" Before the first person adds: "Yes! Yes! F*** you too." It’s hardly new territory for Andre however, as he and MacDonagh already share daughter Amelia, 10, and son Theo, seven. Their family also includes Andre’s two older children Junior Andre, 18, and Princess Andre, 16, from his previous marriage to Katie Price.

Andre confirmed that their family had expanded in a sweet post on social media earlier this month.

Alongside images of him and MacDonagh meeting their little girl for the first time, he wrote: "Just minutes old……We feel so overwhelmed right now. So happy to welcome our beautiful girl to the family. Mum and daughter are doing amazing. Born Tuesday 2nd April 2024, 7lb 3oz and thankfully very healthy. Baby has been spoilt with cuddles from Junior, Princess, Amelia and Theo who are all in love with their new little sister. As parents, we couldn't be happier.

"Thanks to all the doctors, midwives and staff at Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton. You were incredible. And Emily's parents, whom I adore. You have both been incredible. I'm so happy. Just off to hold her. Thanks everyone for reading.”
