Peter Andre has broken his silence after he was pictured holding hands with Caprice while dining out in Ibiza.

Andre, 50, was seen in photos obtained by The Sun sat with Caprice, 51, hand-in-hand as they drank wine and enjoyed lunch together outside Atzaró Agroturismo Hotel – leaving many wondering what his wife Emily would think of the outing.

The Mysterious Girl singer quickly shut down rumours following the photos as he appeared on Heart Radio on Thursday.

When asked about the pictures by co-hosts Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston, Andre explained: “Caprice is an old friend but that is actually a scene from a film, for Hallmark in America.

"The whole scene is quite good. I’m playing a nice little Spanish man called Carlos. It’s very romantic.

"You’re going to see me as Carlos. Am I doing the accent well? She’s an old friend - I saw the picture this morning."

The married star confirmed: "Obviously Emily knew about this film from ages ago."

Andre said he was filming a Hallmark movie with Caprice and his wife Emily “knew”

After he was jokily grilled further about the photos, Andre added: “So, unfortunately, it’s nothing amazing and wow.”

Andre and Caprice publicly clashing over their views on Covid-19 two years ago.

Andre called Caprice “foolish” after she clashed with a doctor on the Jeremy Vine Show about how to stop the spread of Coronavirus.

Andre, whose wife Emily is a NHS doctor, fiercely disagreed with Caprice’s comments, writing in his New! magazine column: "[Caprice Bourret] apparently claimed that she knew just as much as the health experts because she’d read reports online.

“If Caprice was intentionally trying to undermine the doctor, then she’s absolutely foolish, because it’s the medical professionals who are being told first-hand what is going on. I know who I’d listen to!”

Caprice hit back in response, saying on social media: "I challenged the doctor, not because I thought I knew better but because WHO (World Health Organisation) said things that contradicted what the doctor was saying.

“I had read the statements from WHO in a newspaper. My information was not taken from a random person that worked at the paper."

It appears the pair have since made amends as they work on their latest project together.
