New Ant and Dec documentary to give fans a glimpse into the duo’s lives for first time

The TV hosts have not put their lives centre stage in their more than 30 years in showbiz

Ant McPartlin and Declan DonneLley will give fans a glimpse into their own lives forthe first time in their more than three-decade career.

The popular TV duo are reportedly in the process of filming a one-off behind-the-scenes documentary of them putting together the upcoming series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

The fly on the wall film will show the pair behind the scenes preparing for the show, which includes their interactions with celebrity pals.

These include primarily presenters, including Claudia Winkleman, Alison Hammond, Rylan Clark, Davina McCall, AJ Odudu and Dermot O'Leary.

“This is a huge deal," a source told The Sun. "People have grown up with Ant and Dec and their cheeky style means viewers have always felt like they know them.

“So it will be really fun for them to take that to the next level and see the lads backstage, warts and all.

“Takeaway is a huge show, with so much that goes into every episode.

“We’ll even see what Ant and Dec have for breakfast. It’s going to be raw and real and everyone is so excited.”

The film, which is being produced by ITV and Ant and Dec's own production company, Mitre Studios, will air this spring.

The new series of Saturday Night Takeaway, which begins on February 25.
