Chelsea Handler has poked fun at an “epidemic” of older stars having children with younger partners.

The comedian’s remarks came after it was confirmed that Al Pacino had welcomed his fourth child at the age of 83.

He joins fellow Oscar-winner Robert De Niro, who recently welcomed his seventh child at the age of 79.

In a video she posted to Twitter, Handler, 48, said: “There’s a new epidemic sweeping [America], and no, it’s not another virus.”

In the clip, photographs of four Hollywood celebrities – De Niro, Pacino, Alec Baldwin and Elon Musk are then shown – with Handler highlighting how the group have a high number of children between them.

“Don’t even get me started on these four horny old men, who have never met a broken condom they didn’t like,” Handler said. “They cannot stop procreating.”

Musk, 51, Shares two children with his ex – the popstar Grimes – who gave birth to their son X Æ A-Xii in May 2020. They also have a daughter Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, who was born via surrogate in December 2021. He also has five other children – twins and triplets – with ex-wife Justine Wilson.

Baldwin, 65, has seven children with wife Hilaria Baldwin and an eighth – Ireland Baldwin – from a previous relationship with Kim Basinger.

Pacino’s latest addition to the family – a son named Roman with his partner, 29-year old Noor Alfallah – is his fourth child.

The veteran film star also has a 33-year-old daughter, Julie Marie, with acting coach Jan Tarrant and twins Anton and Olivia, 22, with actress Beverly D’Angelo.

De Niro recently welcomed his seventh child at the age of 79.

Other celebrities embracing fatherhood later in life include broadcaster Jon Snow, 75, who became a father again in 2021.

Rolling Stones singer Sir Mick Jagger had his eighth child, son Deveraux Octavian Basil, with Melanie Hamrick in December 2016 when he was 73.

Media mogul Rupert Murdoch was 72 when his daughter Chloe, with ex-wife Wendi Deng, was born in 2003.
