Paris Jackson has shared previously unseen home video footage of her dad, Michael, as part of the trailer for her new documentary series.

Unfiltered will follow Paris, 22, and her Sunflowers bandmate Gabriel Glenn on a tour around the US.

In the promo clip, a young Paris can be seen speaking with her father, telling him she wants to be just like him when she grows up.

"I want to do what you do... you dance and sing,” she tells him.

The trailer then cuts to present day footage of Paris and Gabriel, as she says in a voiceover: "You see a kid grow up in the public eye but you forget I am human.

"I was against letting the world in because it wasn't a choice, I wasn't ready. I am ready now."

Paris was 11 years old when Michael died almost exactly 11 years ago.

The singer was in Los Angeles and midway through intense preparations for a comeback residency at London’s O2 Arena when he died.

Michael’s personal physician, Conrad Murray, administered drugs to help him sleep and briefly left the star alone in his bedroom.

When he returned, Michael was not breathing and despite attempts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center two hours later.

Murray was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Paris marked the 11-year anniversary of her father’s death yesterday with a sweet post on Instagram.

Sharing a selection of vintage pictures, she wrote: “miss and love you every day. thank you for the magic.” [sic]

The first episode of her Facebook Watch documentary, Unfiltered, will debut on Tuesday, June 30.
