Guitarist Joe Perry has been rushed to hospital after collapsing on stage mid-performance.

The Aerosmith star, who is currently touring with Johnny Depp’s band Hollywood Vampires, is said to be in a ‘stable’ condition.

According to reports, the 65-year-old was taken ill during the band’s concert at the Amphitheater on the Coney Island Boardwalk on Sunday night.

Perry reportedly ‘stumbled’ off stage during the gig and was immediately taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Some fans in the audience captured the moment that Perry walked off stage on camera, halfway through a song.

One person wrote on Instagram: “#JoePerry collapsed on stage just now! He had to sit on drum kit and then went behind a small wall and passed out. FDNY and NYPD carried him off quickly. #Aerosmith #hollywoodvampires.”

Alice Cooper, who fronts the ‘super-group', updated fans after the show on Twitter, writing:

“Thanks to everyone asking about our brother @JoePerry. He is stable right now, with family & is under the best care.”

The cause of Perry’s collapse and hospitalisation is unknown as his spokesperson is yet to release a statement.

Hollywood Vampires are due to perform on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday evening, in what is supposed to be Depp’s first US TV appearance since Amber Heard’s abuse allegations against him.

It is unclear whether or not the band will still make the appearance without Perry.
