Ewan McGregor’s daughter Clara has branded his girlfriend Mary Elizabeth Winstead a “piece of trash”.

The Trainspotting actor’s daughter lashed out in an Instagram comment seven months after McGregor split from her mother Eve Mavrakis.

The 22-year-old model took to the comments section of a Winstead fan account to hit out at the user for hailing the Fargo star “beautiful”.

Outraged by the comment, she wrote: “Most beautiful and talented woman on earth? (laughing faces) Oh man y'all are delusional. The girl is a piece of trash (smiley face) x”

Clara has been open about her disgust after father McGregor first went public with Winstead in November after ending his 22-year relationship with Mavrakis.

Speaking to the Sun in February, Mavrakis said: “I haven’t spoken to Ewan at all, so I don’t actually know whether they are together or not.

“I don’t care what he is doing. I don’t know anything about it.”

Mavrakis’ comments at the time came amid reports claiming Winstead called time on her relationship with the Star Wars actor following accusations of her being a “home wrecker”.

“Mary hated the embarrassment of being labelled a home wrecker,” a source told America’s Star magazine.

“Ewan decided to throw his marriage away for Mary and now it looks like he’s lost both.”
