The BBC cut footage of Beverley Knight collapsing on stage during her performance at the Terry Wogan tribute concert.

The singer and actress, 43, fainted during her rendition of I Will Always Love You which was recorded earlier this month.

But fans weren’t able see the moment that the star had to be carried off stage mid-performance as it was edited out of the final cut.

Aired on Monday evening, the epic tribute concert included Knight’s flawless performance but subtly cut away to another performer ahead of the incident.

Despite not seeing the aftermath of the performance, fans were quick to praise the singer’s ‘faultless’ rendition of the Whitney Houston song.

“Wow I think @beverleyknight just out Whitney-d Whitney! #TerryWogan,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Love this performance @Beverleyknight smashing it #iwillalwaysloveyou #bbc #childreninneed #rocksforterry,” wrote another viewer.

Knight shocked the audience when she dramatically collapsed during the recording at the Royal Albert Hall on November 1.

At the time, a spokesperson for the star told Evening Standard Online: “Bev is fine now. She was in a very hot dressing room back stage and left to go straight on stage where she suddenly felt faint mid performance.

"Medics saw her back stage afterwards and said she had low blood sugar but after 30 minutes she felt much better and they signed her off to perform the number later in the evening - which she did without further issues."
