Amal Clooney rumoured to be replacing Donald Trump as new host of The Celebrity Apprentice
Amal Clooney is reportedly in the running to take over from Donald Trump as the host of The Celebrity Apprentice.
According to reports, George Clooney’s other half is currently on the shortlist to replace the controversial businessman, who is now running for president.
A source told The Sunday Express: “As well as the cachet of being married to George, she is also a highly respected figure in her field.
“Since she rarely says anything in public, there is still something of an air of mystery to her. We think she could be a perfect fit.”
US channel NBC were previously reported to be in the process of recruiting a female host for the show after Trump stepped down.
The 37-year-old human rights lawyer is thought to be joined on the list by Facebook CEO Sheryl Sandberg and Jessica Alba.
Amal and George Clooney reside in Manhattan while the Lebanese- British lawyer works as a visiting professor at Columbia University.
The celebrity spin-off series of The Apprentice, which has starred Trump since it kicked off back in 2008, currently shoots in New York.
