Absolutely Fabulous movie: Emma Bunton joins Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley on set
Emma Bunton has joined forces with Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley to star in the new Absolutely Fabulous film.
The former Spice Girl, who has had cameos in the show before, was pictured on set as filming continued this week.
Letting the cat out of the bag, the film’s official Twitter account posted a picture of the pop star in character on Friday.
While the extent of her role in the film is unknown, the picture shows the 39-year-old hitting the shops with Eddie and Patsy.

The tweet read: “Stop! We've got just the news to Spice Up Your Life. Eddy’s no. 1 client @EmmaBunton is joining #AbFabMovie!”
Bunton has starred as herself in previous episodes of the programme between 2003 and 2012, playing one of Edina’s clients.
The cast and crew have been shooting the new film the South of France, with plot details kept tightly under wraps.
Edina’s long-suffering daughter Saffy, played by Julia Sawalha, is set to return as is Bubble, played by Jane Horrocks and June Whitfield.
Speaking about filming, Saunders recently said: “I am thrilled and excited to finally start filming. We are all on the Sanatogen and hoping for the best."
Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie is due for release in 2016.
