Rihanna has got candid about her experiences of being pregnant with her first child and she admitted it came as a surprise even to her.

The Umbrella singer, 34, stunned the world when news of her pregnancy first broke back in January.

It came after she chose to debut her bare baby bump while out for a walk in snowy New York with partner A$AP Rocky.

Fast forward to now and she has posed for the cover of Vogue’s May 2022 issue sporting a semi-sheer lace catsuit with her blossoming stomach firmly on display.

Confessing the pregnancy was unplanned, she told Vogue: “I wouldn’t say planning. But certainly not planning against it.

“I don’t know when I ovulate or any of that type of s**t. We just had fun.”

She continued: “I always thought it would be marriage first, then a baby, but who the f**k says it has to be that way. I’m certainly not gonna let that get in the way of me being a mom.”

Sharing that her go-to craving is tangerines “sprinkled with salt,” the Fenty Beauty mogul said she was “scared” about the possibility of suffering with postpartum depression.

The Barbadian native explained to the publication how she had heard stories from other women who struggled with it after giving birth and she’s “frightened” of feeling “out of control emotionally”.

In addition to sharing their horror stories, Rihanna hasn’t been short of people wanting to offer advice about her impending motherhood.

She told Elle US: “Probably the best advice is to sleep now because I won’t get much later. I need to work on that before it’s a thing of the past.”

Vogue’s May 2022 issue is available on newsstands nationwide on April 26th.
