Wimbledon players have been hitting the West End to watch top musicals, Beyonce perform her world tour at Wembley and pig racing at a Surrey farm on their days off from court, it has emerged.

The perks enjoyed by tennis stars participating at this year’s tournament was revealed as Ticketmaster vouchers were given to those at the start of the competition.

Last week, 103 pairs of tickets were given to players to enjoy themselves during the gruelling two-week schedule.

West End musicals Matilda and Wicked proved to be the most popular off-court activity with 15 players issued with tickets.

Meanwhile, 13 players, including Brit Laura Robson, nabbed tickets to watch Beyonce on her world tour at Wembley.

Miss Robson, who went out on the first day to number four seed Angelique Kerber, posted on Instagram: “Can't rest till I've learnt these moves."

But some have struggled to make use of the perk.

A Wimbledon spokeswoman said: "We've had lots of requests for Aladdin, the Lion King and the Book Of Mormon, but because they are more popular it's a lot harder to find seats for them."

Demand has also been high for trips out to attraction such as the London Eye and Kensington Palace while 20 visits were booked to Chessington World of Adventures theme park.

Another 15 trips were booked to Bocketts Farm in Surrey, which is known for hosting pig races.

Tennis players challenging in the final stages of Wimbledon are likely to decline the chance of a late night.

Seven times Wimbledon champion Roger Federer said he has been resting, watching Euro 2016 and playing with his children on his days off.

He said: “My friends, my family, everybody around me did all the Beyonce, Matilda - all the stuff I wanted to do, too, but just not right now. Right now I have other goals than doing that stuff."
