Police have released photos of two men they would like to speak to following a racially motivated attack in Shoreditch.

A 34-year-old man was hit in the face with a metal object after leaving a venue on Brick Lane at 3.30am on July 25.

Officers would now like to speak to Connor Donoghue and Jack Marks about the incident, which is being treated as a racially motivated hate crime due to the incendiary language used by the three attackers.

Detective Caelen Matthewson-Davies from the Central East Command said: “This was an unnecessary and needless use of force on an innocent man and we need the public’s help.

“If you know these men, or have any information that may help with our investigation, please do the right thing and get in touch.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD 4370/26Aug.
