A piece of street art appeared in central London this week, and has sparked rumours it could be a new Banksy.

The spraypainted black-and-white work features a robotic arm writing the words “another world is possible”, as three people attempt to drag it away using ropes.

It was spotted on a wall on the Euston Road flyover, near Edgware Road Underground Station, on Monday.

An image of a full moon and the words ‘the art of ba___?’ were then reportedly daubed on the wall beside the piece days later, on Thursday.

Banksy fans are said to have travelled to the site to see the piece, which resembles the elusive street artist’s style.

But Banksy has made no mention of the artwork on his Instagram page, where he typically claims responsibility for new artwork.

He last posted a new piece of art on his page in March.

The piece, entitled Morning has Broken, featured appeared on a derelict house in Herne Bay, on the north Kent coast, and featured the silhouette of a young boy and a cat, framed by a boarded-up window.

The piece was been destroyed by contractors demolishing the site, who reportedly had no idea it was by the famous street artist.

Before that, in February, Banksy created a piece on a wall in Margate entitled Valentine’s Day Mascara.

It appeared to touch on domestic violence, depicting a woman dressed as a 1950s housewife, withh a black eye and missing tooth, appearing to be shutting a man inside an old chest freezer, around which the mural was created.
