A woman arrested after being accused of careless driving has shot to online fame after her flawless mugshot went viral.

Sarah Seawright was detained by police after failing to appear in court in connection with a driving offence in the US state of Arkansas.

She has previously been accused of robbery, kidnapping and battery in a 2012 parking lot theft, according to US media reports.

Her mugshot has been shared countless times online with some Twitter users nicknaming her #prisonbae.

Andreaqs Antoniou wrote: “#PrisonBae Bet you she gets a modelling career or something. Good for her though. Negative to positive".

Ellie House shared a picture of the mugshot and tweeted: "Can we just pause for a second and look at this woman's mugshot? Her MUGSHOT people. #PrisonBae."

Another said: "#Prisonbae - Is this the female equivalent of 'hot mugshot guy' Jeremy Meeks?"

Former prisoner Jeremy Meeks, from California, became an online celebrity when his own “handsome” mugshot went viral in 2014.

The 32-year-old embarked on a modelling career when he was released from prison in March this year.

Ms Seawright appears to be enjoying her new-found celebrity.

A Twitter account, thought to belong to her, shared a tweet saying: “Social Media Queen#PrisonBae Here to stay!” along with a number of links to tweets about her mugshot.
