Red Dead Redemption is an outstanding open world action game and one of the best western games yet.

The story is based around a partially reformed outlaw, John Marston, who is trying to make up for his past.

With a strong plot and incredible graphics from the makers of Grand Theft Auto, the player is transported to the Wild West of 1911.

As you travel around the vast desert in the guise of Marston, gamers meet many different and realistic characters. Each has sophisticated vocal characterisation which is superior to other games off its kind, adding to the authenticity of this virtual Wild West.

There are a few minor irritants, occasionally a horse's legs will be out of synch, but it is an extremely small price to pay for a phenomenal looking game which is incredibly realistic.

Rockstar have packed this product with hours of game play and challenges; from cattle herding and breaking mustangs to treasure hunting and massive fort assaults. In fact, almost anything you could imagine doing in the Wild West is in Red Dead Redemption. There is so much to do you will find it hard not to get distracted from John Marston's main goal of tracking down a brutal member of his old gang.

Red Dead Redemption is an action packed Western game which feels and looks so much like the real Wild West it will keep you gun-slinging for months.
