Michelin star for Blumenthal's Dinner

12 April 2012

Heston BlumeNthal's first London restaurant, Dinner, has gained a Michelin star only nine months after opening.

The Knightsbridge venue, which has a historically themed menu, was one of four in the capital to be awarded the accolade for the first time.

The others are Jason Atherton's Pollen Street Social, the first solo venture by the former Gordon Ramsay protégé; Hakkasan Mayfair; and North Road in Clerkenwell.

The only London restaurants with three Michelin stars are still Gordon Ramsay in Royal Hospital Road and Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester.

Blumenthal already has three stars for the Fat Duck in Bray.
