Death scene cut from TV film about Amanda Knox

A TV film version of Meredith Kercher's murder has been broadcast in the US but the death scene was cut after the Surrey student's family reportedly complained.

Amanda Knox: Murder On Trial in Italy tells the story of the death of Miss Kercher, from Coulsdon, in Perugia in 2007. Her flatmate Knox, and Knox's Italian boyfriend, were convicted of killing her.

A trailer had shown Miss Kercher, 21, being stabbed. The film stars Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere as Knox.
