An Antique Flea Market Is Coming to Marylebone In June

Antiques Anonymous will return to the capital for its second annual flea market on Sunday 24th June.

The event will take place on Marylebone's Church Street - an area famous for its Antiques Quarter.

The antique extravaganza is a collaboration between the 80 antique and art dealers based on Church Street and some of the best design-obsessed dealers in the capital and across the UK.

Located just a short walk from Edgware Road station, the one-day market promises to be a treasure-trove of vintage and contemporary delights, with some of the largest collections of high-end antiques in Europe and one-of-a-kind designs.

Antiques Anonymous is partially funded by Westminster City Council, as part of the Church Street regeneration programme, supporting and strengthening the Marylebone business community.

In-keeping with the event's local spirit, residents and community workers will be contributing to the flea market by showcasing some of the very best talent in area.

Guests attending the event can expect pop-up shops, live music, exhibitions and a selection of tasty food on offer and what’s more...entry is completely free.

Last year's spectacular event saw over 5000 visitors flock to the flea market, including British fashion designer Paul Smith and Line of Duty actor Adrian Dunbar.

Stephen Sprake, the owner of Sans Pretention antiques shop, says this year's event promises more.

He said: "Our idea is to cherry pick the best antiques traders from around the UK to pitch up and share the spoils of London’s newest flea market. Prices range from very little to not-so-very-little, so there are opportunities for everyone. AA sets itself apart form any other market in its inclusion of cool food, music and crafts al fresco without the word “Fayre” anywhere."

With the promise of eclectic and unusual items (and most likely a few famous faces), the event is an absolute-must for any collector or vintage fan.
