Victoria Wood, who has passed away at the age of 62, was a prolific comedian, actress, entertainer and director.
The Birmingham-born star was known for her numerous sketch shows, stand-up routines and sitcoms, including Dinnerladies, As Seen on TV and Wood and Walters.
Here are fi of her very best TV moments in a career that spanned four decades.
1. Acorn Antiques
A regular sketch on the first two seasons of Victoria Wood As Seen On TV, Acorn Antiques was a soap opera parody starring Wood and collaborator Julie Walters as two shop workers in ‘Manchesterford’.
After running from 1985-87, Wood then turned it into a musical in 2005.
2. Dinnerladies
BBC sitcom Dinnerladies only ran from 1998-2000 but became an instant favourite with British audiences.
Wood wrote, produced and starred in the show, which was about a caterers and customers in the canteen of a factory in Manchester.
3. The Ballad of Barry and Freda (Let's Do It)
Wood regularly performed self-penned songs as part of her stand-up routines, her most famous being the hilarious Ballad of Barry and Freda (Let's Do It).
4. Pat and Margaret
Teaming up with Walters again, Wood wrote and starred in Pat and Margaret, TV film that aired in 1994, following two sisters who reunite after 27 years apart.
5. Two soups
One of the comedian’s best-known sketches features Walters as an elderly waitress, struggling to deliver soup to customers in a restaurant.
