The Apprentice’s Alex Finn has become the latest person to be fired by Lord Sugar after failing to make any sales during the latest task.
In a show first, the candidates headed to Birmingham to sell at the Bodybuilding expo, having picked their items beforehand.
But Finn – who said he has a “millionaire mindset”– incurred the wrath of Lord Sugar after a disappointing display, prompting the businessman to brand him “the squirrel from Wirral”.
Speaking about his exit, Finn said: “I'm gutted. I wish I was in the process for longer but I can't change the past.
"I did not believe it was my time to go. I did intend to get to the final and win it.”
Before delivering the dreaded two words, Lord Sugar said: “Alex, you say you are a good salesman, but frankly I'm struggling with... what have you done
“You are the only one who didn't sell anything! I'm not sure whether you are made for this body-building business.
"Jean-Claude Van Damme was the muscles from Brussels. I have a picture of you being more like the squirrel from the Wirral.”
Finn blamed project manager Sabrina Stocker for losing the task, only making £1,638.99, and “the way the day was structured”.
Tasked with shifting costly gym equipment, Finn struggled to lock down any sales and became frustrated at the way things were going leading Karren Brady to say she would be “shocked” if he made a sale.
The other team - led by solicitor Sarah Ann Magson – raked in £1,892.50 after selling massages and saunas to consumers.
