Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has pulled out of his eagerly awaited panto debut in London.

The actor had agreed to play Captain Hook in Peter Pan but has cancelled after being asked to appear as a judge in Simon Cowell's new series America's Got Talent.

Hasselhoff, 53, was due to be paid £300,000 to star at the New Wimbledon Theatre alongside Bobby Davro.
