Church show: Angel Olsen
David Smyth8 December 2017

AMP Sounds

Feb 1-24, various venues (0871 220 0260, gigsandtours.com/tour/amp-sounds)

DJ Annie Mac has a busy February of curated live shows and DJ sets lined up, dividing her time between Koko, the Roundhouse and the Jazz Café. Jessie Ware, Billie Eilish and Tom Misch are all in the mix.

Angel Olsen

April 30, Union Chapel, N1 (0870 264 3333, unionchapel.org.uk)

The success of Olsen’s 2016 album My Woman has been followed by a rarities collection, which the singer-songwriter will promote in a suitably low-key fashion with this solo church show.

Arcadia London

May 5-6, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, E20 (0871 220 0260, bitly.com/arcadia_london)

While Glastonbury takes 2018 off, its giant metal spider will be shooting fireballs in London instead. Performance art collective Arcadia is taking over the Olympic Park, with dance veterans Leftfield the first music act to be revealed.

Pearl Jam

June 18-19, O2 Arena, SE10 (0844 824 4824, the02.co.uk)

The grunge giants’ only album since 2013 was a concert recording, so why not play some more concerts? They’ll be touring Europe next summer.

Community Festival

July 1, Finsbury Park, N4 (0844 844 0444, communityfestival.london)

This all-dayer for indie rock fans is back for a second year, this time with Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines and You Me at Six high on the bill. Look out for hot newcomers Pale Waves earlier on.
