JKS to run Battersea Power Station food hall
The developers of Battersea Power Station have teamed up with one of London’s most successful restaurants operators JKS to run a huge new food hall opening next year at the former power generator.
It will be the second London gastro-arcade operated by JKS Restaurants - the team behind venues such as Gymkhana, Bao, Hoppers and Brigadiers - following the opening of one at Tottenham Court Road’s Centre Point in April.
The new 24,000 sq ft destination at Battersea Power Station will be twice the size of Centre Point’s Arcade Food Hall, which has nine outlets.
Final details of the line up have not between disclosed but it has been confirmed there will have a branch of the Taiwanese brand Bao, a Thai restaurant, and a number of new JKS concepts.
Karam Sethi, founder and creative director of JKS, said: “We’re looking forward to opening Arcade at Battersea Power Station next year. We will be creating a number of exciting new brands which showcase even more global cuisines, while also expanding and developing some of our existing Arcade brands, to create a food and drink destination south of the river worth travelling for.’

From the outset it has been our vision to place food and hospitality at the heart of Battersea Power Station. We cannot wait to see Arcade open to the public next year.”
The Grade II listed former generator opens to the public this autumn as the centrepiece of the £9 billion regeneration of the world famous building and the surrounding land.
This will include 18 penthouses known as Sky Villas built on the roof of the central boiler house, with sliding doors opening on to a ¾-acre communal landscaped gardens. The first residents moved into the power station last year.
